Repurpose Your Amazon Influencer Videos Everywhere
If you’re creating videos for the Amazon Influencer Program, there’s a simple way to potentially earn more money without constantly creating new content:
Upload the videos you already have to other platforms.
YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok are three obvious examples.
You’ve already created the content.
You’ve already recorded the product.
You’ve already put in the work.
So why let that content earn money in only one place?
For me, repurposing Amazon Influencer videos is a low-risk, high-reward strategy
.
If nothing happens with a video on another platform, you haven’t lost much.
But if one takes off—or simply continues generating search traffic over time—it can potentially generate additional affiliate commissions for months or even years.
Here’s how I approach it.
The basic strategy is extremely simple.
Take the product videos you’re already creating for Amazon and repurpose them to platforms like:
YouTube
Instagram
TikTok
You can even create dedicated social media pages specifically for your Amazon product reviews and consistently publish your existing content there.
The important part is:
You’re not creating new content from scratch.
You’re simply getting more mileage out of content you’ve already made.
And every additional platform gives that video another opportunity to be discovered.
Why YouTube Is My Favorite Platform for This
Personally, I primarily focus on YouTube.
I have a YouTube channel specifically for my Amazon Influencer product videos.
And all I do is upload the same videos I’ve already created.
No new filming.
No completely new content strategy.
No major additional effort.
It might take me 30 seconds to a minute to upload each video.
And if nothing ever happens?
That’s fine.
But if that video generates affiliate commissions over the next month, year, five years, or even longer, I’ve created another digital asset that can potentially continue working for me.
That’s why I think this is such a no-brainer.
YouTube Gives Your Reviews Searchability
One of the biggest advantages of YouTube is search.
YouTube itself is a massive search engine, and its videos can also appear in Google search results.
Let’s say I create a review of a book like The Slight Edge.
Instead of using a vague title, I can make it more search-friendly with something like:
The Slight Edge Book Review for Entrepreneurs
Now someone searching YouTube or Google for information about that book has another opportunity to discover my video.
The same principle applies to almost any product.
Think about what potential buyers are searching for:
“[Product Name] Review”
“Is [Product Name] Worth It?”
“[Product Name] Demo”
“[Product Name] Pros and Cons”
“How Does [Product Name] Work?”
You’re taking a video that previously existed primarily inside Amazon and giving it another opportunity to rank in search.
Put Your Affiliate Link High in the Description
Once the video is uploaded to YouTube, I want to make it as easy as possible for someone to find the product.
So I put my affiliate link relatively high in the description.
For example:
Get your copy on Amazon here: [Affiliate Link]
Or, for a regular product:
Get this on Amazon here: [Affiliate Link]
The easier it is for an interested viewer to find the product, the better.
Of course, you also want to include the appropriate affiliate disclosure and follow the applicable platform and affiliate-program requirements.
But there’s another important part of my linking strategy that I wish I had understood much earlier.
Why I Started Using Geniuslink
For years, I would simply grab my Amazon Associates link and put it in my YouTube description.
But there can be limitations to doing that, especially when you have viewers from different countries.
That’s one of the reasons I started using Geniuslink.
Instead of thinking only about viewers shopping through one Amazon marketplace, a smart-linking service can help route international shoppers toward an appropriate regional destination when configured correctly.
That matters because YouTube is global.
Someone watching your review might be in the United States.
But they could also be in Canada, the UK, France, Italy, Belgium, or somewhere else entirely.
If you’re building an international affiliate strategy, you don’t necessarily want to treat every viewer as if they shop in the same marketplace.
Think Globally With Your Amazon Content
This is another area where I think creators can leave money on the table.
You’ve already created the video.
If you’re eligible for Amazon’s relevant programs in additional countries and are following the applicable program requirements, that same content may potentially have value beyond a single marketplace.
That means the content you’ve already created could potentially work harder for you internationally as well.
Again, the theme here is:
Leverage.
You’re not trying to create ten times more content.
You’re trying to find more ways for the content you already have to generate value.
Add Some Basic SEO to Your Description
I don’t spend a huge amount of time writing descriptions for these videos.
Remember, the whole point is to make this process efficient.
But I do like to include some additional useful information about the product.
If it’s a book, I might include a short overview.
If it’s a physical product, I might include relevant product information or specifications in my own words.
The goal is simply to give YouTube and Google more context about what the video covers while also providing useful information to viewers.
I’m not trying to spend 30 minutes optimizing every upload.
This should be a fast, repeatable process.
Use the Thumbnail You Already Created
The same principle applies to thumbnails.
If you already created a thumbnail for your Amazon Influencer video, you can potentially reuse it for YouTube.
You certainly can create a completely new YouTube thumbnail if you think the video warrants the extra effort.
But for this strategy, I generally want to keep things efficient.
Remember:
The goal isn’t to create an entirely new YouTube production.
The goal is to repurpose an existing asset.
Upload the video.
Optimize the title.
Add your affiliate link and disclosure.
Include some useful information.
Add a thumbnail.
Publish.
That’s it.
What About Instagram and TikTok?
The same general strategy can work on Instagram and TikTok.
The biggest difference is how you handle links and calls to action.
Depending on the platform and the features available to your account, you may not be able to place an external affiliate link directly where you would on YouTube.
One option is to use a call to action encouraging interested viewers to comment or visit the appropriate link destination available through your profile.
For example:
“Comment ‘LINK’ and I’ll send you the product.”
Now someone who is genuinely interested in the product is raising their hand and asking for more information.
The exact strategy may change as these platforms update their features, but the underlying idea stays the same:
Use the audience and distribution of other platforms to get more value from your existing product content.
You Don’t Need Millions of Views
This is another important point.
I’m not uploading these videos expecting every one to get 100,000 views.
Some might get 20 views.
Some might get 40.
Some might get a few hundred.
And occasionally, one could perform significantly better.
That’s okay.
Because product review content is different from pure entertainment content.
You don’t necessarily need enormous view counts if the people finding your video have strong buying intent.
Someone searching:
“[Exact Product] Review”
could be much closer to making a purchase than someone who randomly encounters a viral entertainment video.
That search intent can make relatively small amounts of traffic valuable.
One Video Can Become a Long-Term Digital Asset
This is ultimately why I love this strategy.
You’ve already done the difficult part.
You already have the product.
You already recorded the review.
You already created the content.
Now you’re taking another minute or two and giving that video another chance to work for you.
Maybe it generates commissions this week.
Maybe it ranks in search six months from now.
Maybe someone finds it on YouTube two years from now while researching that exact product.
You simply don’t know.
And because the incremental effort required to repurpose the video is so small, the potential return can make it worthwhile.
The Simple Workflow I Follow
My basic process looks like this:
Create the original Amazon Influencer product review.
Upload it to Amazon.
Repurpose the same video to YouTube.
Give it an SEO-friendly title.
Add the appropriate affiliate link near the top of the description.
Include the proper affiliate disclosure.
Add some useful product information.
Use an existing thumbnail or create a simple new one.
Publish the video.
Repurpose the content to Instagram and TikTok when it makes sense.
Let the content continue working over time.
That’s really it.
It doesn’t need to become complicated.
Final Thoughts
If you already have dozens—or even hundreds—of Amazon Influencer videos sitting in your account, you potentially have an entire library of content that could be working harder for you.
Instead of constantly asking:
“What new content should I create?”
Start asking:
“Where else can the content I already created generate value?”
YouTube is one of my favorite answers because of its searchability and the potential longevity of its content.
Instagram and TikTok give you additional distribution opportunities.
And international affiliate strategies can potentially expand the reach of your content even further.
You already created the video.
You already did the work.
Now make that work pay you in as many legitimate ways as possible.
For me, that makes repurposing Amazon Influencer videos one of the simplest ways to potentially increase the ROI of every product review I create.
