3 Apps that Pay Me $1,000’s a Month for Short Videos

There are three apps and sites that I use every single day that pay me thousands of dollars each month.

Let’s start with the obvious app: TikTok...

Between TikTok Shop and TikTok Affiliates, there’s a ton of money to be made here. I use TikTok Shop to dropship products directly to customers, and I also have two other pages with TikTok Affiliates enabled. On those pages, I link to other people’s products in my videos and earn commissions.

There are benefits and drawbacks to both approaches; neither is necessarily better or worse. It all comes down to personal preference, finding proven hot products to make videos on, and then testing, testing, testing until you find a winning formula that works for that product.

The easiest and fastest way to test products is with Creatify AI. This software allows you to turn a product listing into a video in seconds or input your own videos (whether downloaded from Amazon reviews, popular TikTok videos, or any other source).

Then, the AI generates dozens of well-written script options for you, adds a great voiceover that sounds professional, and creates an entirely new video using short segments from each video you provided. The result is a video that looks and sounds fantastic.

Creatify AI is super easy to use, works well (especially for testing products in the beginning), and allows you to quickly move past the bad products so you can find the ones that actually start selling and put money in your pocket.

Next up is another app and site: Amazon.

I’ve been part of the Amazon Influencer Program for about two months now, and I’m extremely surprised by the potential here.

If you’re unfamiliar with it, the Amazon Influencer Program allows you to make videos reviewing Amazon products, showcasing them in action, or creating tutorials on how to use them. You earn a commission when someone purchases the product after watching your video.

This is very different from the regular Amazon affiliate program because, with the Amazon Influencer Program, you can get approved for on-site placements. That means your videos will show up directly on the product’s Amazon listing. And, as you probably know, millions of people visit Amazon every day with the intention of buying, so you don’t need to bring any traffic—you just make videos and capitalize on the most popular e-commerce site in the world. It’s a game changer.

The opportunity here is absolutely massive, and the ability to scale this with zero risk is wild. I don’t say that lightly—this is a ringing endorsement.

Finally, the third app is JoinBrands, which is closely related to the other two and to creating short-form content in general.

JoinBrands connects brands and sellers looking for content creators and influencers to make videos for them. It’s a win-win: the brand pays for videos that they can use to sell their products, and sometimes they require you to post the video to one of your social media pages (like your TikTok affiliate page or Amazon influencer storefront). As the “influencer,” you get paid a flat fee for creating the video.

Think of it like a sponsored post, only it’s a video. This is a massive opportunity, especially for those of us who are already creating content for platforms like TikTok, Amazon, and others. Not only can you earn commissions from posting the video on these platforms, but you also get paid whether you ever make a sale or not.

I’ve seen starter campaigns that pay only $15 for a video, and I’ve seen offers up to $200 for a simple 60-second video review. It just depends on the brand, the product, where they need it posted, and how eager they are to get influencers to promote their product and launch it faster. The best one I’ve gotten so far was $120 for a 2-minute video showcasing how to use a vacuum—and I got the vacuum for free, which was cool.

There are tons of opportunities like this, and you could even turn around and resell these items to make even more money, but I haven’t explored that much yet. This is an amazing app to check out, but don’t stop there—there are dozens of similar apps that you can look into as well.

All three of these are closely related—they’re basically the same strategy and business model, just on different apps and platforms. And, of course, there’s some overlap too.

Often, the TikTok affiliate videos you create can be posted to Amazon as an influencer for even more commissions. Sometimes, the Amazon influencer videos you post can also be shared on your TikTok affiliate account if the product is available there.

JoinBrands gives you the opportunity to get paid to make these videos in the first place. As you create more content and deliver quality videos for brands on the app, you’ll unlock better deals and more opportunities to earn money.

Between these three apps and sites, you can easily make thousands of dollars a month, probably much more, and it takes zero money and zero risk to get started. You’re simply investing your time and effort into creating videos, and there’s a ton of scalability with all of these opportunities.
